BassRack Tuner
A free, optional desktop helper that brings a song from a link into BassRack. It runs on your own computer, next to the clock: paste a link from a supported site in the BassRack tuner, the helper fetches the audio here, and the song becomes a new cassette in your library.
Use only audio you own or have the right to use.

This beta is not code-signed yet, so Chrome and Windows warn you before it runs. The guide below shows what to click. A signed version will replace it.
A VirusTotal report for this file will be linked here when the download goes public.
To check the file, run this in PowerShell in your Downloads folder and compare the result with the SHA-256 above:

Coming soon: a signed and notarized app for the menu bar.
Premium is not required
The tuner is free for everyone, on every plan. BassRack also works without it: uploading your own audio files never needs the tuner.
What it does
- Takes links from many supported sites, one song or video at a time, up to 15 minutes.
- Fetches only the audio, on your computer, and hands it to the BassRack page in your browser.
- Sits next to the clock with its status, "Open BassRack", "Start with my computer", "Check for updates" and "Quit".

More info
Run anywayDon’t run
- Open the installer you downloaded.
- In the blue window, click More info.
- Check that the app is the BassRack Tuner setup file, then click Run anyway.
After installing
- The installer needs no administrator rights. BassRack Tuner appears in the Start menu and next to the clock.
- The first time, the tuner downloads its tools and checks their signatures and hashes. It takes a minute or two.
- Open BassRack: the tuner’s antenna goes up. Your browser may ask to let BassRack reach apps on this device: allow it.
- Press "Pair with this browser" and type the 6-digit code the tuner shows. Then paste a link.
Built to be safe
- It listens only on this computer (127.0.0.1): other devices on your network can’t reach it.
- Only BassRack pages can talk to it, and only after you pair your browser with a code shown on this computer.
- It refuses playlists, live streams, private or local addresses and DRM services.
- Its download tools are checked against pinned SHA-256 hashes and signatures before every run.
- Nothing goes through BassRack’s servers: the audio stays on your computer until you import it.
- Uninstall it any time from Windows Settings: it removes its start-up entry and its "Open the tuner" link.
