Copyright & Takedown Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

The short version. BassRack is a practice tool. Users may only use it with audio they own or have the right to use, and they are solely responsible for what they bring into it. BassRack does not host, distribute, sell or share songs. If you believe something in the Service infringes your copyright, write to [email protected] with the information listed in section 3, and we will act on it promptly.

1. Our position

BassRack respects the rights of creators and expects its users to do the same. As our Terms of Use explain:

  • users may use BassRack only with audio they own or have the right to use, and are solely responsible for the content they upload, fetch, process or practise with;
  • BassRack does not host, distribute, sell or share songs, and does not store users' songs on its servers. Libraries, audio, stems and charts stay on each user's device;
  • the only audio our servers receive is a file a Premium Cloud user uploads for processing, which is deleted immediately after processing, and within 24 hours at most;
  • if a user has an account, we store and sync their practice metadata (such as charts and corrections), but no audio;
  • using BassRack to infringe copyright, or to circumvent DRM or other technical protection measures, is prohibited, and the BassRack Tuner never supports DRM-protected services.

2. Where to send a notice

Send copyright notices to our designated contact:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Post: Jeronimo Maria Repetto Cirio (BassRack), Dr. Santaolalla 23, 03005 Alicante, Spain

Notices about content hosted on another site (for example, the site a link points to) should be sent to that site; BassRack does not host that content.

3. What a notice must include

To let us act quickly, your notice must include:

  1. your name, address, telephone number and email address, and, if you act on behalf of a rights holder, the rights holder's name and your authority to act for them;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (or a representative list, if several);
  3. identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it in the Service (for example, a link, an account or a chart name), and, where applicable, the exact electronic location;
  4. an explanation of why you consider the material to be infringing;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
  6. a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and complete and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on its behalf;
  7. your physical or electronic signature.

A notice that is substantially incomplete may not be actionable; we may ask you for the missing information.

4. What we do with a notice

When we receive a valid notice, we review it diligently and objectively and, where appropriate, promptly remove or disable access to the material identified, if it is stored on our systems (for example, synced charts or corrections, or a file still being processed by Premium Cloud). We inform the user concerned, explain our decision and the reasons for it, and may share a copy of the notice with them (we may remove your personal details where the law allows, but the user may need them to send a counter-notice). We also inform you of our decision.

Because users' libraries and audio are stored on their own devices, we cannot access or delete them; our action covers what is stored on our systems and the user's access to the Service.

5. Counter-notice

If material you stored was removed and you believe this was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to [email protected], including:

  1. your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  2. identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
  4. a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of your place of residence (or, if you live outside the United States, of any judicial district in which BassRack may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent;
  5. your physical or electronic signature.

We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have started legal proceedings to stop the infringement, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice. Users in the European Union can also contest any decision we take about their content by writing to the same address; we will review it in a timely, non-discriminatory and non-arbitrary way, and this does not affect your right to go to court.

6. Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts and access of users who are repeat infringers. As a rule, an account that is the subject of 3 valid notices that are not successfully contested is closed. We may also suspend, for a reasonable period and after a prior warning, users who frequently send notices or complaints that are manifestly unfounded.

7. Misuse of this process

Do not send a notice or counter-notice that you know to be false. A person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Service or the law. The date of the latest version is shown at the top.
